The Golden Age of Science Fiction
The period from the late 1930’s until around 1970 is often called a golden age for science fiction. Writers such as Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clark enchanted readers with their tales. Magazines like Galaxy and Astounding Science Fiction were read by the engineers and scientists that would help create our present world. Sadly many of the works of that era have been forgotten. My newsletter is meant to alert the modern reader about these stories and even authors that may have been submerged in the present tidal wave of science fiction tales that fill the media. As a long time fan and retired professor of engineering in the US and Sweden, I can alert you to stories you may greatly enjoy. You will also learn where many of the tropes of current stories come from.
